M.E.S MARKS WORLD BOOK DAY

With an objective to encourage reading habit among students and foster a sense of belonging in the world of readers and book lovers, M.E.S Indian School celebrated The World Book Day on 23rd April 2024. The Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Central library of the school in the presence of the school principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar.

On the occasion, the Principal shared her views on the importance of reading as it opens the vistas of future in a promising manner, she also urged the students to cultivate the habit of reading the works of great and renowned authors and get inspired. Further, she stressed that reading during the formative years is the ideal way to attain success in life. Miss Shriya Harish Kumar, a student of Class IV delivered a speech on the significance of reading.

A vocabulary search competition was also organised for the students to commemorate the event. The winners of the competition were felicitated and presented with books. The event was attended by the school officials, teachers and students. Mrs Nousheena and Sabu Antony, the school librarians coordinated the event.
