Junaid Muhamed Abdul Aziz (12-H) of MES Indian School won the gold medal in the secondary category of the recently concluded SOP wrestling event, while Mohamed Zainudeen (10-F) secured a silver medal in the preparatory category, which was held at Aspire by SOP.
By winning medals at the wrestling event, MES Indian School has gained a reputation for securing medals in seventeen different sports at the SOP this year. Earlier, the school garnered medals in Table Tennis, Athletics, Road Race, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Rifle Shooting, Fencing, Para Table Tennis, Para Athletics, Swimming, Triathlon, and Cricket.
The participation of students in the wrestling event marks a significant achievement for the Department of Physical Education at M.E.S., underscoring the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence in sports and holistic development. Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal, and the school officials praised the students and encouraged the team for the upcoming tournaments.
