M.E.S CHAMPIONS HEALTH AWARENESS AT QATAR DIABETES WALKATHON 2025

In an inspiring display of community spirit and health consciousness, M.E.S Indian School actively participated in the Qatar Diabetes Walkathon 2025, held on 14 November 2025 by the lake at Aspire Park, as part of the global observance of World Diabetes Day.

With the objective of promoting awareness about diabetes prevention and management, and encouraging healthy lifestyle practices, more than 200 enthusiastic students from M.E.S Indian School took part in the 1-kilometre walkathon. The event formed part of a broader community initiative that included fitness sessions, live music, children’s entertainment, health-awareness workshops, and free blood glucose screenings for all visitors. Participants gained practical knowledge on the importance of regular physical activity, a balanced diet, and the critical role of early detection in effectively managing diabetes.

Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S Indian School, congratulated all participants for their commitment and emphasised that the school remains committed to supporting national and global health initiatives, empowering students to become active contributors to a healthier society. The school’s participation was ably coordinated and supervised by Mr Jency George and Mrs Radhika Rajan (Campus Care Force), Mr Rajesh K.S. (Scouts), Mrs Asha V. Nair (Guides), and Mrs Fency Pathrose (Cubs and Bulbuls), ensuring student safety and meaningful engagement.
