Malayali Samajam, a prominent socio-cultural organisation, honoured academic excellence by felicitating 25 students who secured top marks in Malayalam in the Class 10 CBSE Examination 2024–25, along with 10 dedicated teachers who played a pivotal role in their success. The glittering event was held at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) recently.
The programme recognised and encouraged students from Indian schools across the country who demonstrated exceptional proficiency in Malayalam during the last academic year. Mr Adoor Prakash, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and presented mementoes and prizes to the awardees. Adding vibrancy to the celebrations, an interschool quiz competition was conducted, with enthusiastic participation from 15 schools. Demonstrating remarkable knowledge and teamwork, Anikait Krishna (Class X-I) and Afina Faisal (Class VIII-N) from MES Indian School secured second place, earning accolades from the audience and dignitaries alike. The event concluded on a high note, reaffirming Malayali Samajam’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, cultural pride, and community bonding. Dr Hameeda Kadar commended the students for their creditable performances in the board examination and the teachers for their unflinching support and dedication.
