M.E.S. Indian School (Evening Shift) celebrated Qatar National Sports Day with great enthusiasm, bringing together students, parents, and teachers in a vibrant atmosphere of fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The celebration featured a variety of well-organised sports activities for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. The KG section conducted fun-filled games such as Pop Stick with Small Ring, Ball Drop Challenge, Plate Ball Bash, and Ring Toes Game, ensuring joyful participation and motor skill development among the little ones. Students from Grades 1 to 8 took part in activities including Ball Passing, Obstacle Race, Dodgeball, and Throwball, promoting coordination, teamwork, and a healthy competitive spirit.
Adding to the excitement, a special sports segment for parents was organised. Fathers enthusiastically participated in Volleyball, while mothers showcased great energy and teamwork in Throwball, making the event lively and memorable. Teachers also joined the celebrations by taking part in a friendly Throwball match, setting a positive example of fitness and active living for the students.
The winners of the various events were honoured with trophies by the Senior Vice Principal Mr. Shihabudeen Pulath and the Headmistress Mrs. Sameena Ashfaq, who appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanlike spirit.
The entire programme was efficiently coordinated by the Physical Education Department, ensuring the smooth conduct of all activities. The celebration truly reflected the spirit of Qatar National Sports Day and reinforced the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle.
