M.E.S. TRIUMPHS AS OVERALL CHAMPIONS AT CBSE QATAR CLUSTER HANDBALL TOURNAMENT 2026

The Handball team of M.E.S has brought laurels to the institution with a stellar performance at the CBSE Qatar Cluster Handball Tournament 2026, securing the overall championship title. The tournament, held from May 6th to 10th, at Shantiniketan Indian School, witnessed spirited participation from leading CBSE schools across the country.

The highly competitive event featured 12 teams in the Under-19 category, 13 teams in the Under-17 category, and 11 teams in the Under-14 category. Demonstrating exceptional teamwork, the Boys’ Handball Team of M.E.S. Indian School delivered consistently outstanding performances across all divisions, culminating in a well-deserved overall victory. The Under-14 team emerged as champions with an extraordinary display of skill, strategy, and dominance. The school’s remarkable achievements in the tournament include the Under-14 Boys emerging as Champions, while the Under-17 Boys and Under-19 Boys secured the positions of First Runner-Up in their respective categories.

By virtue of this commendable achievement, the winning team has qualified to represent the cluster at the National Level, marking yet another significant milestone in the school’s sporting journey. Dr Hameeda Kadar, the Principal, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the players and appreciated the relentless efforts and dedication of the coaches, Mr Mohamed Navas and Mr Steeson K. Mathew, whose guidance and commitment were instrumental in this grand success.
