M.E.S. Indian School observed Mother’s Day with profound affection, gratitude, and enthusiasm through a special programme recently.
The programme was thoughtfully designed to instil in students a deep sense of appreciation for their mothers. As part of the observance, students created vibrant and imaginative greeting cards, each reflecting heartfelt emotions and the cherished bond they share with their mothers. Adding intellectual depth to the occasion, Shan Sheffy of Class 10 D delivered an eloquent speech, expressing sincere gratitude and admiration for the selfless contributions of mothers. A special highlight of the event was the ‘Wall of Love’, a visually captivating display adorned with messages, wishes, and expressions of gratitude from students. This initiative added a deeply emotional and personal dimension to the celebration, resonating with warmth and sincerity. Enhancing the festive spirit, teachers graced the occasion in a coordinated dress code, lending colour, vibrancy, and a sense of unity to the programme. To honour and celebrate the unconditional love, care, and selfless sacrifices of mothers, the Guides Unit of the Girls’ Section thoughtfully designed and presented special badges to the Principal and the teachers, as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude and profound respect.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr Hameeda Kadar lauded the invaluable role of mothers in nurturing values, shaping character, and laying the foundation for a progressive society.
At the K G Section, the Mother’s Day celebration featured “Jolly Jive,” a lively segment in which mothers enthusiastically showcased their talents. A beautifully designed reflection board, showcasing cherished words and messages shared by mothers in moving expressions. Creative activities such as the Edible Art – Fruit Carving Competition, and Mother’s Masterpiece – Craft Competition highlighted the artistic skills of the participating mothers. All participants were presented with certificates of appreciation, making the occasion both memorable and meaningful.
The event was meticulously coordinated under the able guidance of the coordinators and in-charge teachers of the event: Mr Anwar K, Ms Anu Manoj, Ms Namitha Pradeep, Mr Thomas Mathew, Mr Jency George, Mr Rajesh K. S. Ms. Skylab Rani, Ms. Blessy Peter, and Ms. Mary Diana. Their concerted efforts ensured the seamless execution of the programme. The celebration stood as a tribute to the immeasurable sacrifices, unwavering dedication, and unconditional love of mothers, who remain the cornerstone of every family and the guiding force in shaping compassionate individuals and a harmonious society.
