M.E.S. Indian School made a spirited and commendable appearance at the CBSE Qatar Cluster Table Tennis Championship 2026, held from 7th to 10th June 2026 at DMIS School. Demonstrating skill, determination, and sporting excellence, the school fielded teams across the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 Boys’ and Girls’ categories.
Displaying remarkable resilience and competitive spirit, the Under-17 Girls’ team comprising Syed Rabiyama Zafar (11-P), Rumaysa Owais Ahmed (9-Q) Isra Rafeeq (9R) and Christea Sosa Koshy (9R) delivered an exceptional performance to clinch the Bronze Medal. Securing victory in two crucial qualifying matches the team advanced confidently to the semifinals thus earning a well-deserved place. In the Boys’ category, Faizan Naseem (5-B) brought laurels to the school by winning the Silver Medal in the Under-14 Individual Championship, showcasing exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition.
The Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar, congratulated all participating students for their spirited performance and exemplary sportsmanship, and extended best wishes for their continued success in future tournaments. Mr.Kunheedu A P, a faculty from the Department of Physical Education coached the boys’ team, while the girls were guided by the coach and teacher in-charge, Ms Mariam Sameer accompanied by the Team Manager & Official, Ms Shani G. R., whose support contributed largely to the smooth participation of the contingent.
