The skaters of M.E.S. Indian School brought laurels to the institution with an impressive medal haul in the quad and inline skating events of the CBSE Qatar Cluster Skating Competition 2026-2027, which was organised by Scholars International School and held on 7th and 8th October 2026. Ayaa Zafres clinched two gold medals in the 500 m and 1,000 m quad events, while Mohammed Zahrean secured gold in the 1,000 m and bronze in the 500 m event. Zainab Mariyam won silver in the 1,000 m inline skating event, and Hessa Fathima secured silver in the 300 m event. Naila Muhammed achieved third place in both the 1,000 m and 300 m inline skating events, while Ayisha Zamrin bagged two silver medals in the 500 m and 1,000 m quad events.
Ms Reshma C. A. of the Junior Section and Mr Binoy K. K. of the Boys’ Section guided the team. The Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar, congratulated the achievers and commended their dedication, perseverance and sporting spirit, while appreciating the coaches for their invaluable guidance and support.
