AMAZING PERFORMANCE BY M.E.S SWIMMERS AT THE CBSE QATAR CLUSTER SWIMMING COMPETITION

The M.E.S swimming team comprising Yahia Draidia, Anshif Midhilaj, Adheeb Sageer, and Steffi Vargheese exhibited outstanding performance at the CBSE Qatar Cluster Swimming Competition held at DPS Modern Indian School on 6th June 2024.

In a tournament that witnessed the participation of about 20 CBSE schools in Qatar, the swimmers representing M.E.S Indian School made the school proud. In the boys’ under-19 category, Yahia Draidia (12-B) won 3 gold medals each in 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, and 100m breaststroke and went on to secure 2 silver medals each in 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke. Anshif Midhilaj (11-A) won a silver medal in 1500m freestyle while Adheeb Sageer of 11-F won a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle of the tournament. In the girls’ under-19 category, Steffi Vargheese of 12-K won a bronze medal in 800m freestyle in the category. Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal, and the other school officials commended the winners for their remarkable achievements and motivated the team for the upcoming competitions.
