CELEBRATING HERITAGE, EMBRACING DIVERSITY: A VIBRANT TRIBUTE TO CULTURAL LEGACY AT M.E.S

M.E.S Indian School celebrated World Heritage Day with great enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy through a thoughtfully organised event titled Ethnic Costume Day. The celebration aimed to promote awareness about cultural heritage and encourage students to appreciate the diversity and richness of traditions from around the world.

Students actively participated by dressing in traditional Qatari and Indian ethnic attire, beautifully showcasing the uniqueness and elegance of both cultures. The event created a lively atmosphere on campus and instilled a sense of pride in cultural identity among the students. As part of the celebration, students from Classes V to VIII prepared Power-Point presentation on the topic ‘Cultural tour of World Heritage Centres’. They presented their work demonstrating creativity, research skills, and a deeper understanding of globally significant heritage sites. The celebration also provided a platform for students to connect with their roots, develop respect for different cultures, and strengthen values of unity and mutual appreciation.

‘World Heritage Day is a wonderful reminder of the value of cultural traditions. At MES, we aim to instil in our students not only academic excellence but also an appreciation for diversity and shared heritage,’ remarked the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar. The event was coordinated by Mr Mujeeb Rahman, Ms Mary Shenet Femi and Ms Rekha Gangadharan (Department of Social Science), Mr Rajesh K.S.
