EMPOWERING M.E.S EDUCATORS THROUGH CBSE’S ON-SCREEN MARKING INITIATIVE

In a progressive move towards digital transformation in assessments, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted an online Orientation Programme on the usage of the On-Screen Marking (OSM) System for teachers. The initiative aimed at equipping educators with the necessary skills and understanding to effectively implement digital evaluation practices.

Teachers of M.E.S. Indian School actively participated in the programme, which proved to be highly successful in familiarizing them with the streamlined digital marking process. The comprehensive training session enabled participants to gain hands-on experience in evaluating answer scripts through the On-Screen Marking platform, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in assessment practices. The training session received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participants, who appreciated the expert guidance and practical exposure provided during the online orientation.

The On-Screen Marking system marks a significant step towards modernising the examination framework. Introduced by CBSE as part of its sustained commitment to enhancing efficiency and transparency in the evaluation process, the system offers multiple advantages, including reduced errors, improved transparency, secure handling of answer scripts, and faster declaration of results.
