To dedicate an exclusive day to glorify and honour grandparents, who provide worldly wisdom and create great memories, and precisely in the light of the school’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, the KG and the Junior Sections of M E S Indian School celebrated Grandparents’ Day recently with much excitement and enthusiasm. The little ones were excited to welcome their grandparents and display the love and admiration they hold for them.
Addressing young students, the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar emphasized the crucial role grandparents play in shaping and positively influencing young minds in educational pursuit and personal development.
In the KG Section, the tiny tots presented a lively and engaging action song, colourful and energetic dance performance, presented handmade cards to their grandparents as a token of love and appreciation. A photo session was also organized wherein the grandparents and their grandchildren posed for snapshots capturing the glorious moment to cherish. The event continued with fun and interactive games designed to involve both the grandparents and the students.
In the Junior Section, the programme marked with the introduction of the Aseel Initiative 2024-25 through a vibrant performance in Arabic, colourful dance performance and a melodious song by the Junior Choir Band, ‘Fashion Fresco’, a fashion show was also carried out for the grandparents with their grandchildren. Meaningful interactions and an engaging game entitled ‘Twin Telepathy’ were the other items included in the event.
On this occasion, winners of the video contest under the theme ‘Generation of Love’ were announced. The school principal distributed prizes to winners of the events including games. All grandparents who attended the programme were given a return gift featuring the school’s Golden Jubilee celebration logo as a token of appreciation.
The event was attended by a significant number of grandparents, school officials, students, and staff thus creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.
