INSPIRING STORIES AND BOLD VISIONS UNFOLD AT TEDxYouth@MES

With great vibrancy and exuberance, the senior students of M.E.S Indian School organised the third edition of TEDx on ‘Off the Timeline’. Held at the Conference Hall of the school on 14th November 2025, the magnificent show with its archetypal fame among talk-show events enchanted the audience with an astounding real-time experience on communication skills. The chief guest, Mr Kashif Jaleel, President (Officiating), M.E.S Governing Board, graced the occasion.

The programme captivated the audience with its inspiring talks stemming from real-life scenarios and dynamic student-led execution, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees. The speaker line-up featured a diverse group of personalities who embodied the essence of the theme. Marion Esquivel (Content Creator), Safrina Latheef (Mountaineer), Ahmed Shabaneh (Founder of ClassMate), Rayan Majeed (Student Entrepreneur), Vineet C. Nambiar (Entrepreneur), and Aayan Zeb (Founder of AQ). Each speaker eloquently brought to life the theme ‘Off the Timeline’ through thought-provoking narratives, motivating the audience to embrace challenges and pursue passions beyond conventional pathways.

Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S Indian School, in her inspiring address, commended the student organisers for their creativity, and team spirit in hosting such a large-scale, impactful event. She remarked, ‘The event evokes a sense of reassurance and clearly demonstrates that our students, with purpose, eloquence, and confidence, have organized this talk show, which evidently exemplifies the leadership and global outlook we nurture at M.E.S.’

The event was executed by the youth organising committee under the official TEDx license. The core team included: Shiza Zainab and Mohamad Badran Kamal – Organizers, Hadiya Hashim – Head of Content & Media, Mohd Aiman Jamil – Executive Producer, Khadeeja Helen – Head of PR, Mohd Qasim Nassir – Head of Finance & IT, Sara Zain – Event Producer, Joel V. John – Head of Design, Ayeshathul Afana – Event Manager (Fintech), Mohd Abdul Muqeet –

Head of Curation, Saliq Riyaz – Head of Operations. The leadership, coordination, and

professionalism of the team ensured the smooth execution of all aspects of the event. The team was guided and mentored by Mrs Rema Nair and Mr Davidson, whose leadership played a pivotal role in the event’s success.

A vibrant band performance added a cultural flavour and renewed energy to the event. The TEDxYouth@MES platform once again proved to be a powerful avenue for youth expression, reinforcing the school’s vision to foster innovative thinking, student agency, and global perspectives in the leaders of tomorrow.

Principal of MESIS, Mrs Prameela Kannan, Mr Shihabudheen, Sr. Vice Principal of M.E.S., school officials, teachers, parents and students were among those who attended the event. Earlier, Mohammed Badran Kamal and Shiza extended a welcome address, and Joel Varghese proposed a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the school management, speakers, audience, and the hardworking student organisers.
