M.E.S Indian School celebrated its 51st Annual Day, Mesmerise 2025, with unmatched enthusiasm, brilliant cultural expression, and a vibrant display of student talent on November 27 and 28, 2025. The two-day extravaganza, held on the school’s expansive grass field, was a grand spectacle of music, dance, and cultural amalgamation. Besides celebrating its landmark achievements, the school reaffirmed its vision of excellence, creativity, and value-based education. The celebration brought together over 6,500 attendees each day, As many as 3,500 students participated in about 90 stage performances, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing holistic development and cultural pride.
His Excellency Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar, and Shri Vaibhav A Tandale, Counsellor (Head of Chancery and Consular), Embassy of India, graced the occasion as Chief Guests for the two-day cultural event. In his address, His Excellency Vipul commended M.E.S Indian School for its unwavering commitment to academic and co-scholastic excellence, praising the institution’s consistent efforts in nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped with the knowledge, values, and skills essential for becoming responsible, future-ready global citizens. He urged students to utilise the revolution of technology ethically in the larger interest of the community, while cautioning them against its misuse for self-serving and adverse purposes. In his address, Shri Vaibhav A. Tandale delivered an inspiring message to the students, enriched with a compelling anecdote that underscored the importance of nurturing one’s passion and love in cultivating independent thought. He encouraged the young learners to embrace a forward-thinking mindset, grounded in scientific inquiry and technological innovation.
Mr B.M. Sidhique, President, M.E.S Governing Board, while addressing the gathering, observed, ‘We firmly believe that education goes beyond textbooks. Our aim is the holistic development of every child—from Kindergarten to Grade 12. With state-of-the-art facilities, enriching programmes, and a nurturing environment, we endeavour to shape learners who are intellectually curious, physically active, emotionally balanced, and morally grounded.’ Dr Najeeb K.P., General Secretary, M.E.S Governing Board, in his inspirational speech, recalled the school’s transformative journey over the last five decades and paid tribute to the founders, faculty, and staff whose dedication has propelled the institution to new heights. The school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar eloquently presented the Annual Report of the school, encapsulating the remarkable strides made during the academic year 2024–25, and highlighted the outstanding accomplishments of students across curricular and co-curricular domains.
In a ceremonious gesture of appreciation, the students who attained the prestigious distinction of emerging Qatar Toppers in the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams in Class XII CBSE Examinations for the academic year 2024-2025 were felicitated by the Chief Guest. As a mark of their outstanding academic excellence, they were presented with cash awards, gold coins, commemorative mementoes, and certificates. Furthermore, the school toppers, subject toppers who achieved perfect 100 marks, received gold medals, cash awards, and mementoes, while meritorious students who secured A1 grades in all subjects in the Class X and XII CBSE examinations for the academic year 2024-25 received awards and mementoes from dignitaries on the occasion. Additionally, subject teachers whose guidance and dedication led students to achieve a perfect score (centum) in their respective subjects were duly honoured during the award ceremony.
Students, as well as a teacher who demonstrated outstanding performance through exemplified dedication and discipline on the international stage in sports and games, were given special recognition on this prestigious occasion. During the award ceremony, students who brought laurels to the school with exceptional talents and their commendable intellectual prowess by earning a distinct place in the prestigious Guinness Book of Records were felicitated. The school also honoured its members of staff, who rendered dedicated and commendable service to the institution for 30, 25, 20, 15, and 10 years, contributing to the growth and excellence of the institution.
The cultural segment of the programme unfolded with a vibrant array of artistically curated and culturally enriching performances, which enthralled the audience with their creativity, precision, and aesthetic appeal. Each presentation reflected the artistic expression of students in youthful brilliance, showcasing their exceptional talent, creativity, and confidence on stage and leaving the spectators thoroughly mesmerised. A magnificent Elephant Float, meticulously crafted by the school’s Art Department, was ceremoniously paraded to the venue, accompanied by the captivating rhythms of the traditional Chenda Melam. Marking both the commencement and conclusion of the event, this grand spectacle emerged as the centre of attraction, enchanting the entire audience.
The 51st Annual Day Celebrations of M.E.S Indian School witnessed the esteemed presence of the Governing Board Members and Directors of M.E.S Indian School, along with the Management Members of IES Education City, Chittilappilly. The event was further graced by the Principals of various expatriate schools, senior school officials, dedicated teachers, enthusiastic parents, and vibrant students, whose collective participation added grandeur and significance to the occasion. Student representatives, Nadiya Jaleel and Mohammed Kamal Ali Badran, extended a warm and gracious welcome to the esteemed gathering on the first and second days of the grand event, respectively. The proceedings concluded with votes of thanks proposed by Arshad Aman, Mohammed Abdul Muqeet, and Jonah Jijo, who eloquently expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, dignitaries, school leadership, and all those who contributed to the success of the 51st Annual Day celebrations.
