In a moment of immense pride and sporting glory, Master Harshan Ayyappan of Class 7J of MES Indian School achieved a historic milestone by securing the Silver Medal in the Under-13 Badminton Tournament of the School Olympic Programme 2026, held recently at Prime Sports.
The prestigious tournament witnessed the participation of 15 leading public and private schools from across Qatar, making the competition highly challenging and intensely competitive. Amidst strong contenders, Harshan displayed remarkable skill, determination, and discipline, emerging as the first-ever medalist in the school’s history in this distinguished sporting event.
Expressing profound joy and appreciation, the Principal of MES Indian School, Dr Hameeda Kadar, congratulated Harshan Ayyappan on his historic achievement and conveyed her heartfelt wishes for his continued success and greater accomplishments in his future sporting endeavours. Mr Binoy, a faculty in the Department of Physical Education was the coach who trained the student.
