The Kho-Kho team of MES Indian School delivered an exceptional performance winning the overall championship at the CBSE Cluster Kho-Kho Competition held at Bhavans Public School from 31 May to 6 June 2026. The tournament witnessed the participation of 18 schools competing across three categories.
Representing the school in the Under-14, 17 and 19 categories, M.E.S teams with a total of 72 contestants participated in all three categories displaying remarkable sportsmanship, determination, and teamwork throughout the competition. The Boys team Under-14 and 17 categories won Gold medal, while the Under-19 team bagged the Bronze medal. The Girls Under-14 team achieved a commendable feat by securing the Gold Medal and the Under-17 Girls team won the Silver Medal after a series of impressive matches. By virtue of their stellar performances across various categories of the competition the M.E.S Kho-Kho team clinched the overall championship title, marking a significant achievement for the school.
The tournament highlighted the players’ exceptional talent, discipline, and dedication, making this year’s participation a memorable success. Dr. Hameeda Kadar, the Principal, M.E.S Indian School congratulated the students and applauded their remarkable accomplishments, along with the efforts of the coach.The teams were trained and guided by Mr. Afsal Sakeer, Mrs. Reshma C.A., faculty member of the Department of Physical Education, whose unwavering support, expert coaching, and constant encouragement played a pivotal role in the team’s success.
