M.E.S COMMEMORATES FATHER’S DAY WITH GRATITUDE AND MIRTH

To honour fathers and recognize their invaluable contributions in nurturing, guiding, and inspiring their children, M.E.S Indian School celebrated Fathers’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth on June 22, 2026, under the theme “Celebrating Our Heroes.” The occasion was graced by the principal and the school officials.

The event began with an inspiring address by the Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar, followed by Fathers’ Day messages delivered by students. In the Boys’ Section, “Shades of Love – Fathers’ Day Tree,” a display of beautifully decorated heart- shaped photographs and thoughtful greetings from students expressing their gratitude and love for fathers became a highlight. The event also featured an engaging “Voices on Fatherhood” panel discussion with panel members including Mr Mohammed Ilias, Vice Principal and Head of Section; Mr Shaji Kumar, Assistant Head of Section and several teachers, including Mr D. A. S Rex, Mr Sameer Pande, and Mr Akbar Ali. The discussion was moderated by Ms Sijila Das and

Ms. Sibi Daniel. A cake- cutting ceremony was held to honour devoted fathers. In the Girls’ Section, a special assembly was conducted where students paid glowing tribute to fathers for their steadfast love and sacrifices for their children’ s welfare. In the Junior Section, the celebration featured various talent performances, including songs by Ms. Mallika and Ms. Ingitha, fun games, a lucky draw, and creative challenges involving fathers and their children. In the K. G. Section, the celebration included vibrant cultural events such as ‘Bond and Beyond, ” where fathers and children walked the ramp together to showcase their bond; “Dancing Shoes, ” joyful dance performances creating a festive mood; and special photo booths. Activities like ‘Master Chef and Mini Chef,’ a fireless cooking activity encouraging teamwork and creativity between fathers and children, were also organised. Special gifts were also presented on the occasion to express love, gratitude, and appreciation for fathers.

The event was successfully coordinated by Mr Anwar K, Ms Fency Pathrose, Ms. Neema Ummu kulsu and Ms Sumitha Nassar.
