M.E.S Indian School celebrated Qatar National Day with a grand display of patriotism, cultural vibrancy, and community spirit, turning its campus into a festive landscape of national pride. The celebration, held with enthusiasm and grace across all sections of the school, stood as a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s unity, heritage, and progress.
The event was graced by Mr Ahmad Al Yousef, Qatar Scout Activities Consultant, as the Chief Guest. The celebration commenced with a formal programme at the Conference Hall. Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal, in her address, highlighted the school’s deep-rooted respect and admiration for Qatar’s leadership, vision, and cultural legacy. A series of mesmerising cultural performances followed, including a traditional Arabic sword dance, a video presentation on Qatar’s development, and patriotic stage presentations by the students.
At the boys’ section Quadrangle, a vibrant grand procession unfolded, featuring the national flag, the school band, and a disciplined march-past. Demonstrations in Silambam, Karate, Skating, and Football showcased the students’ co-scholastic talents. The Scout Parade, led by Mr Rajesh K.S., was particularly lauded for its impeccable coordination and grandeur.
Students in the Junior Section reflected the spirit of unity and patriotism through a well-coordinated march past, followed by cultural presentations that highlighted Qatar’s growth and achievements. The Kindergarten Section added charm to the celebration as little children arrived dressed in maroon and white attire, symbolising the Qatari flag, while many wore traditional Qatari dresses, lending cultural richness. A special assembly was held to mark the occasion, during which the Principal addressed the young learners. The highlight was a graceful Arabic dance performed by the KG students, beautifully capturing the spirit and traditions of Qatar.
The entire celebration was meticulously organised by a team of dedicated teachers, which included Mrs Anu Manoj, Mr Sreejith, Mrs Namitha, Ms. Rassia Hamza, Mrs Fency, Mrs Limy, Ms Jesna Siju, and Ms Aswathi. Their commitment and planning ensured the success of the event.
