M E S Indian School organized ‘Happy Parenting’, a per-exam counselling session for the parents of Class 10 students at the Conference Hall of the school recently, providing parents with practical strategies to create a conducive environment for their children’s academic and personal growth as they prepare for the CBSE examination- 2025.
The session provided valuable insights into the crucial roles of parents in fostering a supportive, balanced, and stress-free environment for students during their preparation for the examination. Speaking on stress-free parenting, the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar emphasized the importance of parents maintaining an accommodative approach which will enable students to focus on their preparation. “Constant encouragement and guidance from parents would build a strong foundation for academic as well as personal success of students,” she added. Parents were advised to monitor and regulate their wards’ screen time.
The Principal further stressed setting academic goals and the extra hours that must be put in by both the teachers and students for excelling in the Boards. She assured the parents that the students’ well-being was the school’s prime concern and the students could easily voice their concerns to the Student Counsellors. The meeting also sought to establish a collaborative partnership between parents and the school to ensure an optimum performance by the students who will appear for the Boards.
Heads of various departments delivered detailed presentations, offering practical tips and strategies for excelling in their respective subjects. They highlighted the need to grasp fundamental concepts, practice regularly, and confidently approach exams.
