Senior students of M.E.S Indian School organized the second edition of TEDx on the topic,”Comedy of Errors: Anatomy of a mistake ” at the Conference Hall of the school on 7th November 2024.
The spectacular show which is of immense popularity and adulation among talk show events – after its maiden launch last year, enthralled the audience with an astounding experience on communication skills and the art of public speaking with a selected five-member TEDx edition in Doha. This event brought together enthusiastic speakers and leaders who inspired the audience with their insights and instances from real-life scenarios.
The chief guest, Mr Ashraf Sharafudheen, Director Academics, M.E.S Governing Board, graced the occasion. The programme featured a distinguished panel of speakers who addressed various topics relevant to today’s youth. Mr Abdalla Hamdan, Leadership Trainer emphasized the significance of leadership skills and the role they play in shaping successful futures. The session was motivational, urging students to recognize and cultivate leadership traits. Dr Muhammed Aflahe Iqbal, a social media influencer spoke on the impact of social media in modern society, providing students with guidance to use social platforms responsibly. The presentation encouraged students to see social media as a tool for learning and growth. Master Abid Mobin Gharatkar, Founder of Link and a high school student shared his journey as a young founder, inspiring fellow students to pursue their passions. His success at a young age was a motivating example of entrepreneurship and innovation. Miss Onaissa Rashid, Debate Club Secretary stressed the importance of debate and critical thinking, highlighting how these skills foster informed perspectives and confidence. Her experience as Debate Club Secretary provided a relatable insight for students interested in public speaking. Master Faizan Irfan Ahmed, Head Scout spoke on the values of scouting and community service, encouraging students to develop a sense of responsibility and service. The school is now proud of having produced two TEDx speakers to it’s credit in the second edition. Master Faizan Irfan Ahmed and Miss Onaisa Rashid, both super seniors of the school spoke with great elloquence.
The Chief Guest of the evening Mr.Ashraf Sharafudheen Director of Academics, M.E.S Governing Board honoured the speakers by giving away the plaques and the event organizers with certificates of appreciation. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S Indian School, commended the efforts of the organizing committee, praising their dedication and creativity in conducting a successful event. The event sponsors were presented with mementoes jointly by the Principal of MESIS, Mrs.Prameela Kannan and Mr. Shihabudheen, Sr. Vice Principal of M.E.S. Mr. Manmmadhan Mamabally, Administrator, Off-Campus division highlighted the involvement and dedication of the student organizers over the last many months in bringing up the TEDx event a grand success.
