M.E.S CONTRIBUTES GENEROUSLY TO BENEVOLENT CAMPAIGN DURING RAMADAN

With an objective to instil a sense of commitment to social welfare and create empathy among young minds, M.E.S Indian School in `conjunction with Qatar charity and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education organized Ramadan Radiance, a charity campaign from 19th – 24th February 2025.

This event of caring and giving was initiated on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan as a part of the fourth initiative,”Fitra“ in ‘My Value Shape My Identity’ project under the title “Ramadan bag initiative“ An impressive number of students actively participated in the collection campaign, demonstrating a strong sense of social responsibility and community engagement. The initiative aimed at promoting the values of social solidarity during Ramadan through the contribution such as essential food and play items during the holy month of Ramadan.

Students’ enthusiasm saw no bounds when they enthusiastically took part in the noble cause of donating essential items such as sugar, flour, rice, powdered milk, oil, dates, and dolls & toys. Their generosity reflected on their awareness of the importance of helping the humanity, and their willingness to contribute to the needy. For the seamless execution as well as organizing of materials and items the school had arranged a designated area as the official collection point. The event was coordinated by Mr Usman Mayyeri, Head of the Department, Arabic and Islamic Studies with the able support of Mr. Manasul Ansari, Mr. Rajesh K.S., Mrs. Rassia Hamza, Mrs. Mary Jainsha, Mr Asadullah, and Mr Ashique, Teachers In-charge.

‘This well-executed humanitarian initiative of the school inculcates young students to practice generosity, kindness, and sharing. By taking part in this benevolent gesture, they not only cater for the well-being of the less fortunate but also strengthen their sense of community and compassion,’ remarked the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar.
