M.E.S EMERGES CHAMPIONS IN QATAR’S FIRST QIHA INTER-SCHOOL HANDBALL TOURNAMENT

In a remarkable display of athleticism, teamwork and determination, the Handball Team of M.E.S Indian School emerged as Champions with the girls’ team clinching the first place and the boys securing the first runner-up position in the First Inter-School Handball Tournament organized by the Qatar Indian Handball Association, marking a proud moment for the school’s sports fraternity. The event witnessed vibrant participation from various schools across Qatar, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for handball among school students.

Adding to the glory, Miss Jaza of Class X-M was honoured with the Best Player Award in the Girls’ category for her outstanding contribution on the court. Master Reuben George (Class XII-G) was declared the Best Goalkeeper, a recognition of his remarkable agility and defense throughout the tournament. The success of both teams was made possible through the dedicated coaching and guidance of Mr. Mohamed Navas, Ms. Kabia, and Ms. Mariam, whose expertise and encouragement played a crucial role in shaping the teams’ performances.

 

The Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, and the school management congratulated the winning teams, coaches, and the physical education department for this significant achievement, reaffirming MES’s commitment to excellence not only in academics but also in sports and co-curricular pursuits.
