M.E.S. EMERGES OVERALL CHAMPIONS AT CHETANA – 2025 INTER-SCHOOL HINDI COMPETITION

In celebration of Hindi Diwas, MES Indian School successfully organised Chetna–2025, an inter-school Hindi competition, at the school’s Conference Hall on October 14, 2025. The event brought together 15 schools and over 45 students from across Qatar, who competed in events such as Elocution, Mono Act, and Essay Writing, promoting language proficiency and cultural expression.

The programme began with an inaugural address by Dr. Hameeda Kadar, Principal of MES Indian School, who emphasised the cultural and emotional significance of the Hindi language, stating, “Hindi is not only our language but also our pride and a strong symbol of our identity.” Mr. A.T. Usman, M.E.S. Governing Board, officially launched the Hindi Blog, a digital initiative aimed at encouraging Hindi expression among students. Among others who attended the event were Mr. Ashraf Sharafudheen P.T, Mr. Faisal Mayan, Mr. Sajeeb Bin Abutty, Mr. Shaheed Alungath, Directors – M.E.S. Governing Board. Mrs. Pramila Kannan, Principal of MESIS, Mr. Shihabudheen Pulath, Senior Vice Principal of MES – Evening Shift, along with other senior officials and staff members, extended support and encouragement to the participants. The competitions were judged by distinguished personalities in the field of Hindi education – Dr. Meenu Parasar Mansi, Mrs. Shalini, and Mrs. Shailaja Bhalla – who commended the high standard of performance displayed by the students.

Participants were felicitated with Certificates of Merit and Trophies in recognition of their outstanding efforts. Noteworthy achievements included Zoya Afroz and Abusar Malik winning first prizes in Mono Act (Intermediate) and Elocution (Junior categories), respectively, enabling MES to emerge as the overall champions of the contest. Main attractions included a theme song from the Boys’ section, a musical treat from the Junior section, a group dance from the Girls’ section, and a video presentation. Master Omer Khan Ahmed welcomed the gathering, and Miss Safa Shaikh proposed a vote of thanks. Mr. Rajendran and Mrs. Renuka, Coordinators of the Department of Hindi, carried out the event in coordination with the teachers of the Department of Hindi. The success of Chetna – 2025 reflects M.E.S. Indian School’s ongoing dedication to fostering multilingual competence, cultural pride, and academic excellence.
