M.E.S Indian School bagged the overall championship in the Sahityotsav-2024, inter-school Arts and Literary Competitions organized by Risala Study Circle (RSC) on 15th November 2024 at Podar Pearl School. The 14th Edition of Pravasi Sahityotsav witnessed overwhelming participation from various schools vying for the title.
Representing MES Indian School a total of 36 students participated in literary and art competitions in various categories showcasing their literary and artistic prowess to bag the Champions trophy. With its outstanding performance garnering 126 points, M.E.S. reached its ascent to the championship.
In the junior category of the competition, the following students won first position in their respective events: Muhammed Saeed (English Elocution), Goutham Praveen Kumar (Malayalam Poem Recitation), Shan Shefy (English Poem Recitation) & Amina Haniya (Pencil drawing). Selvadarshan won the second position in English story writing in the junior boys’ category.
In the senior category, Jithesh Adhithya and Faizan Irfan Ahmad bagged first place in the English Elocution and English Essay Writing competitions respectively. In the senior category, the following students won second position in their respective events: Fawas Muhammed Ashique (English Poem Writing), Muhammad Kamal and Souparnika Rajkumar (Social Tweet writing), Heza N (Poem writing), Najad Abdul Salam (Malayalam Poem recitation). Navneeth earned second place in English Poem Recitation. Fawas Muhammed Ashique achieved second place in English Poem Writing. Muhammad Kamal took second place in Social Tweet English. Dhilfa Rahim secured third place in the Essay writing competition.
In the general category, the boys and girls collage-making teams, consisting of Krishna Ashok, Krishna Mahesh, Adhnaan Muaz, Lera Abdul Azis, Kezia Maryam and Nikitha Sri secured first place. The Choral Reading team, featuring Ralph, Rihab, Aaron John Thomas, and Evin Varghese Binu, attained second place. The Spot Magazine team, comprising Keshav, Pawan Vinu, Lakshmidhar, Mohammed Shehbas, and Nadeem Shameer earned third place.
The school management appreciated the students who won the overall championship for the second consecutive year. The school Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar congratulated the winners for their commendable efforts and creditable performances.
