M.E.S EXPLORES CULINARY SKILLS OF STUDENTS BY ORGANIZING NUTRI-COOKING CHALLENGE

As a part of the Poshan Pakhwada 2025 celebrations, M.E.S Indian School organized the vibrant Nutri-Cooking Challenge for Grade 12 students, under the theme “Old Recipes, New Memories.” The event aimed to promote healthy eating habits and highlight the importance of nutrition and well-being.

The event, Cooking Beyond the Classroom: A Hands-On Approach to Learning, witnessed overwhelming participation, with around 80 enthusiastic teams from both the Boys’ and Girls’ Sections showcasing their culinary talents. Students prepared a variety of traditional, nutritious, and delicious dishes, proving that healthy food can indeed be flavorful and enjoyable.

Commending the efforts of the students, the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar, remarked that the Nutri-Cooking Challenge is an opportunity for students to learn essential life skills as it fosters greater awareness of nutrition and promotes cultural appreciation through traditional recipes. ‘M.E.S Indian School has been a pioneer in providing students with holistic education that integrates practical life skills alongside academic excellence,’ she added. Mrs Mary Cynthia Cyril and Mr Ajith Kumar, teachers in charge of the event, Mrs. Raseena Najil (Lab Assistant) in collaboration with the teachers of various Sections, coordinated the event.
