The swimming teams of M.E.S Indian School participated in the CBSE Qatar cluster swimming championship hosted by DPS Modern Indian School from 16th to 19th June 2025.
In the Under-17 girls’ category, Navami Nambiar 10-M won a silver medal in the 400m and a bronze medal in the 800m freestyle events. In the Under-19 category, Hannah Lynn Josy 11-N secured a silver medal in the 200m Butterfly event. With this impressive performance, the girls’ team has of MES Indian School has qualified to participate in the CBSE national swimming meet to be held in Orissa, India, in September 2025.
In the boys’ category, Master Anshif Midhilaj of 12-A won a bronze medal in the 400m Freestyle, and Nihal Muhammed Shafi of 7-G won bronze medals in the 200m Breaststroke and 100 metre Freestyle events. Overall, the MES swimmimg team secured a total of 6 medals in the CBSE Cluster Swimming competition.
The school Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, along with the school officials, commended the students for their sportsmanship and wished the teams continued success in upcoming competitions
