M.E.S HELD TRAINING SESSION FOR CANTEEN STAFF TO MARK FOOD SAFETY DAY

With an objective to emphasize the importance of maintaining high standards of hygiene in food preparation areas and to educate the workers about best practices in maintaining the health and safety of the consumers, an in-house training session on basic hygiene practices was conducted for the canteen staff to mark food safety day on Saturday 8th June 2024 by the Department of Welfare.

The trainer, Mrs. Praseela K.A emphasized the need to maintain cleanliness and prevent the spread of forborne illnesses caused by consuming contaminated foodstuff. The session focused among other things, on the importance of personal hygiene, including handwashing techniques, wearing clean and impeccable uniforms, maintaining grooming standards, the significance of pest control measures etc,. Mr. Shiju Sebastian, Mrs. Gincy Wilson and Mrs. Praseela K.A, members of the Department of Welfare coordinated the event.
