With an objective to reinforce a reading culture among the school staff, the central library of M.E.S Indian School conducted a Reading Challenge contest for all the members of the staff from 4th to 8th May 2025. The event was designed to encourage staff members to engage with library books and spend time reading in the library during their free hours, which saw participation from the school Principal, Heads of Sections and Departments, teaching and non-teaching staff. A feature of the challenge was to prepare a book review by the participants on the book they read in the library.
The event concluded with an inspiring message by the Principal on May 8, 2025, who encouraged staff to continue and cultivate reading habit ceaselessly and commended the active participation of the staff. Overall, the Reading Challenge was well received and served its purpose of reviving interest in reading among staff members.
