M.E.S. Indian School (Evening Shift) proudly celebrated World Heritage Day on 16 April 2026 with a variety of engaging and educational activities, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing cultural awareness and responsible global citizens.
Students of Classes 1–9 participated in Traditional Dress Day, showcasing vibrant Qatari attire and embracing national identity. Creative expression was evident as Classes 1–5 engaged in a Poster Making Activity on “Qatar Family Heritage,” while Classes 6–9 illustrated iconic landmarks such as the Museum of Islamic Art, Al Zubarah Fort, and Souq Waqif through a Drawing Activity. A vibrant Qatar Corner Display showcased student-created models, charts, pictures, and cultural artifacts, promoting experiential learning.
The school played a pivotal role in thoughtfully planning and facilitating these activities, creating meaningful opportunities for students to explore, appreciate, and take pride in their heritage while connecting learning to real-life cultural contexts. The Senior Vice Principal, Mr Shihabudeen Pulath, and Headmistress, Mrs Sameena Ashfaq emphasized the importance of preserving heritage and instilling cultural pride among students.
