M.E.S. Indian School (Evening Shift) Promotes Environmental Awareness

M.E.S. Indian School (Evening Shift) observed World Environment Day on 4 June 2026 with a variety of meaningful and engaging activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and encouraging students to become responsible stewards of nature.

The celebration featured special programmes organized by the Scouts & Guides, inspiring students to adopt eco-friendly practices and understand the importance of environmental conservation. A highlight of the event was the “Pot Water for Birds” initiative, which encouraged students to care for local wildlife during the summer season. Students also enthusiastically participated in a sapling-planting activity within the school campus, learning firsthand about the importance of preserving and protecting the environment for future generations.

A range of grade-wise activities added creativity and enthusiasm to the celebration. Students of KG and KG 2 participated in colouring and environmental awareness activities. Grades 1–2 engaged in Tree Crown Making, while Grades 3–5 expressed their ideas through Poster Designing. Students of Grades 6–9 reflected on environmental issues and their aspirations for a greener planet through the “Letter to Mother Earth” activity.

Through such initiatives, M.E.S. Indian School (Evening Shift) continues to foster environmental responsibility among its students, nurturing young citizens who are committed to creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
