MES Indian School observed World Health Day on 7 April 2026 with a series of engaging activities promoting health awareness among students from Classes 1 to 12. Under the theme. ‘Together for Health: Stand with Science,” highlighting the importance of scientific awareness and collective responsibility. The school Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar in her message, emphasised that maintaining health is a lifelong commitment and hence she urged every child to adopt healthy lifestyles so as to spread awareness within their communities.
The celebrations began with a special virtual assembly, where the school Head Boy, Master Ishaan, addressed students on the importance of healthy lifestyle practices. A key highlight was the Wellness Station, where students shared practical health tips, inspiring their peers to make informed choices. Students of Classes 1 to 4 took part in a vibrant Fruit Fiesta, dressing in aprons and chef caps and arranging fruits and vegetables in colourful patterns to promote healthy eating habits. Senior students participated in a poster designing competition, presenting messages on nutrition, hygiene, fitness, and preventive care. A human chain symbolised unity and collective responsibility, while students were encouraged to bring nutritious food, reinforcing mindful eating. An online exercise drill conducted by the Physical Education Department further motivated students to stay active.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of teachers-in-charge: Mr. Jency George, Mr. Rajesh K. S., Mrs. Anu Manoj, Mrs. Namitha Pradeep, Mr. Thomas Mathew, Mrs. Blessy Peter M., Mrs. Anagha M., Mrs. Needhu Dileep, and Mrs. Fency Pathrose., whose dedicated efforts ensured the success of the event and enthusiastic student participation. The programme was successfully organised by the members of Campus Care Force, Scouts and Guides, Event Management, Observance of Days teams.
