The U-10 Junior boys’ football team of MES Indian School secured the 2nd runner-up position in the School Olympic Programme Football Championship held recently. Out of 102 teams that participated from public and private schools across Qatar, MES was the only Indian school to qualify for this prestigious tournament for the second time. The team played approximately 10 matches before reaching this stage, with 3 to 4 games in a single day during each round. They emerged as group champions in every round. In a closely contested semi-final, they narrowly lost 3-2 but showed strong resilience to win the third-place match 5-3. The boys displayed outstanding effort, determination, and skill throughout the tournament. Mr. Binoy K K was the coach who trained the students.
