The students of M.E.S. Indian School marked World Health Day on 10th April 2025 with a special assembly jointly organized by the Cubs, Bulbuls, and the Physical Education Department under the guidance of Ms. Reshma and Mrs. Fency. The event embraced the global theme “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures!” aimed at instilling healthy habits among young learners for a brighter tomorrow.
The program began with a warm welcome note expressed by Miss Tara Kamala, setting the tone for a day filled with awareness, learning, and celebration. Miss Ayra Safeer spoke on the significance of World Health Day, emphasizing the lifelong benefits of embracing a healthy lifestyle from an early age. The highlight of the event was an engaging skit performed by students portraying relatable, everyday situations to teach essential lessons about hygiene and nutrition. Adding grace to the celebration, students also presented a colorful and lively dance performance on healthy habits, choreographed by Mrs. Rajani.
Following the dance, the yoga team gracefully presented a series of yoga asanas, emphasizing the importance of physical and mental well-being in everyday life. To reinforce their commitment to good health, Miss Khadeeja Layal led the students in a spirited Health Promise, where children pledged to eat healthy food and care for their well-being. The event concluded with an inspiring address by the school Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, who praised the livewire enthusiasm and creativity of the students and urged them to carry forward the healthy practices they had learned.
On this day, the school proudly showcased a vibrant harvest from its garden—an inspiring initiative aligned with Qatar Vision 2030 by the members of the Campus Care Force, merging health, sustainability, and hands-on learning. The ‘Harvesting Health’ event was guided by the key functionaries of the school and coordinated by Mr. Jency George, Mrs. Pushyami Racherla, Mrs. Pradnya Pande, and Mrs. Ramla K.K. of the Campus Care Force.
