The Girls’ Cricket Team of M.E.S Indian School achieved remarkable success in the Women U19 T20 League conducted by Qatar Cricket Association finishing with the runners-up position.
The team, under the leadership of Captain Maria Theresa Jacob and the expert coaching of Ms. Mariam Sameer and Mr. Afsal Sakeer, won all their group-stage matches and advanced to the semifinals. Their impressive performances continued through the semifinals, where they secured a place in the finals.
The team faced a tough challenge in the final facing stiff challenge from the opponent, and team MES secured the second-place which is a significant achievement, especially after 14 years of gap since their last similar success in the tournament for the school. The team’s dedication, hard work, and teamwork were evident throughout the competition, showcasing the growing talent and passion for cricket at MES Indian School.
