Celebrating the spirit of Malayalam literature and student creativity chronicled, the Department of Malayalam released ‘Sahitham’, a Malayalam magazine, recently at the Conference Hall of M.E.S Indian School. The programme was exquisitely organised to celebrate the literary talents and creative contributions of the students.
The Chief Guest of the event, Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal of the school, formally unveiled both the digital and print editions of the magazine. In her keynote address, she commended the dedicated efforts of the students and teachers whose tireless commitment brought the publication to fruition. She further encouraged students to continue cultivating their literary flair and creative expression in Malayalam, thereby preserving and promoting the richness of the language.
The cultural segment of the programme was equally captivating. Muhammed Hasbin of Class XI–D delivered a compelling poem recitation, showcasing eloquence and confidence. The celebration was further enlivened by a vibrant folk group song presented by students of Classes VII and VIII, infusing the occasion with colour, rhythm, and festive spirit. Earlier, Afina Faisal of Class 8N welcomed the gathering. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Muhammed Nazan of Class X–F, who conveyed heartfelt appreciation to all dignitaries, participants, and organisers for their invaluable contributions in making the event a resounding success. The event was meticulously organised under the able guidance of the Malayalam Department, led by Mrs Bijily Mohanakumar, whose leadership and dedication ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
