M.E.S Indian School with its whopping 335 championship points including 30 gold, 28 silver and 19 bronze medals in U14, 17 and 19 categories proved its supremacy yet again in the track and field events by emerging as the overall champions in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Athletic Championship jointly organized by M.E.S Indian School and Olive International School. It was held at the synthetic track of M.E.S Indian School from 10th to 12th September 2024.
In the boys’ under14, 17 and 19 categories and the girls’ under 17 category, M.E.S won the overall championship. With the spectacular performances, M.E.S emerged as the overall champions in both boys’ and girls’ categories remarkably in the year when the school celebrates its Golden Jubilee.
A total of eighteen CBSE-affiliated schools participated in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Athletic Championship. Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal, M.E.S Indian School and Mr. Jacob Mathew, Principal, Olive International School congratulated the winners of the CBSE Qatar Cluster Athletic Championship 2024 and gave away the trophies to all the winners of the Championship. She also lauded the tireless efforts of the teachers of the Physical Education Department. With this win, the athletic squad of M.E.S Indian School is qualified to participate in the Interschool CBSE National Athletic Meet to be held between 6th and 10th October 2024 at Varanasi in India.
