M.E.S Indian School with its outstanding performance at the CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Competition, organized by Ideal Indian School from 14th to 16th of September 2024 secured an array of medals to its credit. A team of 31 boys and 28 girls represented the school across various age groups and categories to garner an impressive tally of medals.
In the U14 and U19 boys’ categories of the event, MES team won the first runner-up besides achieving the overall second runner-up position. Faihaan Ajmal (V B), Luqmaan Ahmed (X B), Krishanth Muralidaran (VII J) , and Muhammed Shibili Muringoli (VIII G) won gold medals in their respective categories. With participants showcasing exceptional determination and skill in the tournament the boys’ team secured 14 silver medals and 12 bronze medals, Girls’ Category
In the Girls’ Category, a total of 28 participated and secured 5 gold medals, 14 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals thus becoming the first runner-up in all three categories—U14, U17, and U19—besides earning the overall second runner-up position.
The school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar congratulated the winners for their stellar performances and the team coaches Mr. Mohamed Navas and Ms. Mariam Sameer for enabling the team to contribute overall success and well-deserved accolades.
