M.E.S STUDENTS CHAMPION COMPASSION THROUGH RAMADAN CHARITY BASKETS INITIATIVE

In a display of generosity and social responsibility, the students of MES Indian School actively participated in the Ramadan Charity Baskets Initiative, contributing a remarkable number of food baskets as part of the Ramadan Bag Collection Campaign. This initiative was carried out in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in collaboration with Qatar Charity.

Each thoughtfully prepared basket included essential food items of daily necessities, aimed at supporting families in need during the blessed month of Ramadan. The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of KG 1 to Grade XII, across both morning and evening shifts, reflecting a unified spirit of kindness and empathy within the school community. The initiative to provide material support instilled in students the core values of compassion, gratitude, and community service during their formative years. The overwhelming response highlights the school’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible individuals who actively contribute to the well-being of society.

Expressing deep appreciation for students’ efforts, the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar, stated, ‘It is truly inspiring to see our young learners come together in the spirit of giving during this holy month, reflecting the values we endeavour to instil in them—empathy, generosity, and a sense of responsibility towards the community.’ Mr. Usman Mayyeri, HOD of Arabic, Urdu and Islamic Studies, coordinated the campaign successfully. Mrs. Rassia Hamza, Mrs. Sumitha Nasser, Mr. Rajesh, Mr. Asadullah, Mr. Ashique P Mr. Ashique Rahman, Ms. Neema Ummukulsu and Ms. Safwa Konnola served as the Section Coordinators for the campaign.
