MES Indian School created history by organizing the first-ever Felicitation Ceremony for about 22 students who have memorized the verses of the entire Holy Quran on March 20, 2025. Held at the Conference Hall of the school, the event served as a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to spiritual enrichment, academic excellence, and moral values. As the first of its kind in the rich legacy of MES Indian School, this event marked a significant milestone paving the way for spiritual and academic excellence.
The prestigious occasion was graced among others, Dr. Abdullah Al Merry (MoE&HE), Dr. Ahmed Abdu Raheem Athahan, Head of the Department of Islamic Culture, Markaz Abdullah bin Zayd, Mr. Yousuf (MoE&HE), Mr. Adnan Abu Hulayyil, (MoE&HE), Mr. Abdul Aziz Shakir (Markaz Abdullah bin Zayd), Mr. Muhammad Hisham (MoE&HE), Mr. Abdu Rasheed (Markaz Abdullah bin Zayd) and Mr. A.T. Usman, Treasurer, M E S Governing Board. Their presence added immense significance to this extraordinary event, which was organized to recognize the dedication, perseverance, and divine blessings bestowed upon these young Huffaz.
The school management, Principal and the entire faculty of MES Indian School extended their deepest gratitude to the officials of MoE & HE, especially Dr. Rania Mohamed, Director, Private Schools and Kindergarten Department, and Mr. Omar Al Naama, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs for acknowledging the efforts of the school to align spiritual values alongside education.
The event commenced with a soulful recitation of the Holy Qur’an, setting a tone of reverence and inspiration. In his keynote address, Dr. Abdullah Al Merry highlighted the spiritual, intellectual, and moral significance of memorizing the Holy Quran, emphasizing that this rare and prestigious achievement required extraordinary discipline and devotion. Dr. Ahmed Abdu Raheem Athahan and, Mr. Adnan Abu Hulayyil (MOE&HE), Mr. Abdul Aziz Shakir (Markaz Abdullah bin Zayd) spoke on the occasion commending the students for their incredible accomplishments and congratulated MES Indian School’s commitment to holistic education, blending faith and knowledge.
The most anticipated moment of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates and mementoes to the 22 students who were honoured for their unparalleled dedication and perseverance. The winners’ achievement stands as testimony to their belief, faith, knowledge, and determination towards extraordinary success. Students who won prizes in the various Islamic competitions conducted during the month of Ramadan also received their certificates. Dr. Hameeda Kadar, Principal, MES Indian School congratulated the students for their perseverance and dedication in achieving great honours.
During the ceremony, M.E.S Indian School was honoured with a memento by the Ministry officials for its exemplary initiative in organizing such an archetypal programme to honour the students who have memorized the entire Holy Qur’an, which is a phenomenal achievement. Dr. Abdullah Al Merry and Mr. Muhammad Hisham presented the memento to Dr. Hameeda Kadar, the school’s principal whose visionary leadership and steadfast support have been instrumental in fostering an environment that nurtures both academic brilliance and religious devotion.
Mr. Usman Mayyeri HOD of Arabic, Urdu &Islamic studies welcomed the audience. Mr. Manasul Ansari and Mrs. Rizwa Fathima compered the programme. Mrs. Rassia Hamza proposed a vote of thanks.
