MES Indian School was presented with the prestigious Seashore Green School Award 2025, an international accreditation that recognises schools for demonstrating outstanding commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility for the academic year 2024-2025. The award was presented by Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Salem Saeed Al-Muhannadi, CEO of Seashore Group, during a special ceremony held on 2nd October 2025. MES Indian School has the exclusive credit of being the only Indian School to win this exemplary honour.
This recognition highlights the school’s continued efforts to foster environmental awareness, conserve natural resources, reduce waste, and implement sustainability-focused projects that extend beyond the classroom. MES Indian School’s initiatives directly align with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, which places environmental development at the forefront of national priorities.
The competition witnessed participation from a number of schools that presented innovative environmental practices, ranging from resource conservation to eco-friendly and student-driven green activities. MES stood out for its impactful sustainability model, which included integrated learning projects, green campaigns, eco-club activities, and community outreach programmes.
Congratulating the school community on this achievement, Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar stated, ‘Securing the Green School Award is a proud moment for MES and a reflection of our deep-rooted values in sustainability. The award also reflects the collective spirit of responsibility towards the environment.’ The School Management provided all necessary support in all initiatives, while the teachers of the Campus Care Force from all sections guided students and maintained momentum.
