MES Indian School hosted Merit Day 2024, a special occasion dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the outstanding academic achievements of students in the CBSE Board Examinations for the academic year 2023-24 on 21st November 2024. This event besides celebrating the outstanding academic performances of meritorious students also acknowledged the diligence and dedication of the staff members who contributed to students’ success.
The ceremony was graced by the distinguished presence of Shri Sachin Dinkar Shankpal, First Secretary (Education & Culture), Embassy of India, Qatar, as the Chief Guest of the event. Congratulating the outstanding academic achievement of the students, the chief guest extolled that as students excel in the board examination with their exceptional academic performance the institution continues to uphold its legacy of excellence setting up a stage for even greater accomplishments in the years to come. Complimenting the students with words of wisdom on the occasion, Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal remarked that trophies, certificates and medals garnered by students are symbols of perseverance, relentless effort and hours of dedication, thus exemplifying students’ potential.
The school toppers and meritorious students of Classes X and XII CBSE examinations for the academic year 2023-24 received awards, gold coins, mementoes and certificates from the dignitaries on the occasion. Students who secured A1 in all subjects received cash prizes and certificates. All the subject toppers received mementoes and certificates.
In addition, teachers whose students attained a perfect score of 100 marks in their respective subjects in the CBSE Board Examinations 2023-24 were honoured for their significant contributions to the academic growth of students. Further, students of Class X who had secured 100% attendance for the academic year 2023-24 were presented with mementoes and certificates of appreciation for their steadfastness in attending school.
The ceremony also witnessed the unveiling of MES’ 50th-year annual Day celebration mascot, symbolizing the incredible legacy of the school.
Master Muhammed Rehan was presented with an award in recognition of his exceptional achievements in various prestigious internationally acclaimed competitions including World Mind Sports Championship. The event also befittingly honoured the long-serving staff members from both teaching and non-teaching, who have rendered long years of service with their unwavering commitment for 30, 25, 20, 15, and 10 years in the institution.
Meritorious students and dedicated staff of the school were felicitated by the Chief Guest and the members of the school management for their outstanding achievements. Esteemed members of the school governing board, Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal, M.E.S Indian School, Ms.Pramila Kannan, Principal, M.E.S.I.S – Abuhamour branch, special invitees, school officials and parents were among those who attended the Merit Day 2024.
