MERITORIOUS STUDENTS BESTOWED AT M.E.S. PHL CEREMONY FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

A total of 685 students from Classes V to IX and XI were placed on the Principal’s Roll of Honour for the academic year 2024-25. The chief guest of the ceremony, Mr. Faisal Mayan, Director, M.E.S Governing Board, gave away mementoes and certificates to the PHL holders, who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, with a staggering academic average of 90% and above. The Principal’s Roll of Honour was instituted to acknowledge and honour students’ outstanding academic performance. Notable highlights of the ceremony included 75 Grade Toppers from Grades V to IX and XI, Subject toppers from grade 11, students who secured 100% attendance in the previous academic year and about 16 meritorious students from Classes IX & XI who have secured 98% and above receiving Scholar badges in the glittering PHL ceremony conducted in the Conference hall of the school.

The students who were placed on the Principal’s Honours List were honoured with Certificates of Merit on 25th May 2025. The names of the recipients were announced, and each student was called to the stage to receive their Certificate of Achievement. The students were greeted with warm applause from the gathered audience, which included fellow students, parents, and staff members

In her speech, the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar highlighted the values of perseverance, academic commitment, and personal integrity—qualities that every honoree has exhibited throughout the school year. The speech underscored the significance of these attributes not only in achieving academic success but also in shaping the leaders and thinkers of tomorrow.

The PHL function was attended among others, Mr. Badarudheen Gulam Mohiyudheen, Director, M.E.S Governing Board, Mr. Shahid, Member Management, Vice Principals & Heads of Sections, school officials, parents, teachers and students. Mr. Grenville and Mrs. Rema Devi, members of the Department of English, welcomed and proposed a vote of thanks respectively for the function.
