As part of the Gulf Sahodaya Qatar Chapter capacity building programme-2024, the Department of Biology conducted a comprehensive Capacity Building Programme on Saturday 7th September 2024 for biology teachers, designed to enhance the pedagogical skills and subject knowledge of teachers. This initiative aimed to empower educators with modern teaching methodologies, strengthen their understanding of advanced biological concepts, and equip them to engage students more effectively in the classroom.
Ms. Tulika and Mrs. Shifanath Thekkan, Department of Biology were the resource persons. They elaborated in detail on the objectives of the orientation and provided an extensive training session on SDGs and Competency-Based Learning in Biology. The aim was to equip teachers with the necessary knowledge and tools to implement SDG & CBE effectively in their teaching practice. The session was effectively carried out with everyone actively participating. A total of 45 teachers from 12 different schools across Doha attended the sessions.
