MES INDIAN SCHOOL BAGS FIRST RUNNER-UP AT SIF QATAR SCIENCE GALA 2025, ADVANCES TO NATIONALS

MES Indian School marked a proud moment at the prestigious Annual Science Gala and Award Function 2025, organized by Science India Forum (SIF) Qatar under the patronage of the Embassy of India, held at the Birla Public School Auditorium, Abu Hamour.

The event featured educational modules and a grand award ceremony. The students’ project was displayed among the top 20 selected science projects, and they participated in interactive scientific sessions. The junior team of M.E.S, comprising Miss Devananda Pradeep and Miss Hrishita Prahalad of Grade 7, with their exceptional performance and innovative project, clinched the First Runner-Up position in the junior category at the Qatar Children’s Science Congress (QCSC 2025). They were guided by the science teacher, Ms. Divya Vijayan. With this win the duo advances to the India International Science Festival (IISF) scheduled to be held in December 2025 in India.

Dr. S. Chandrasekhar, Former Director of CSIR-IICT and Consultant at PI Industries Ltd., delivered an inspiring keynote address. The Award Function was graced by H.E. Shri Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar, who was the Chief Guest, and recognized outstanding contributions by students, guide teachers, and coordinators. The school Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, congratulated the team of winners for their exceptional achievements and wished them success as they prepare to represent Qatar on the national stage in India.
