MES INVESTS STUDENT LEADERS WITH RESPONSIBILITIES AT A GLITTERING FUNCTION

Student council members of M. E. S. Indian School for the academic session 2025-26 were sworn in at an impressive Investiture Ceremony held recently in the Conference Hall of the school.

The inductees included school appointees, prefects, club secretaries, scouts and guides, representatives of Campus Care Force, and House Captains. It was a grand and solemn occasion, where each elected member was prepared to don the mantle of leadership and vowed to fulfil the responsibilities entrusted to them.

The event began with a candle march led by the newly elected school leaders and prefects, accompanied by the House Masters. Mr. Ashraf Sharafudheen P. T., Director of Academics, the Chief Guest of the function, and Mr. Faisal Mayan, Director of Transport, the M.E.S Governing Board, graced the occasion and distributed badges to the newly elected office bearers of the student council. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest urged the newly inducted team of office bearers to uphold the principles and values taught at the school and to carry forward the baton of the school’s rich legacy. Dr. Hameeda Kadar, Principal, in her address, reiterated the fundamental obligation of assuming responsibilities at this young age to fulfil the school’s vision and mission by excelling in their journey toward holistic development. The Chief Guest and the Principal pinned the badges on the prefects and handed over the House Flags to the respective House Captains administering the oath to the newly elected student council members.

The major student officials include Master Mohammed Kamal Ali Bardan (Senior Head Boy), Miss Hadiya Hashim (Senior Head Girl), and Mohammed Abdul Muqeet and Nimisha Liz Abraham, who served as Head Prefects of their respective sections.

The newly elected Head Boy, Master Mohammed Kamal Ali Bardan, led the oath-taking ceremony, reaffirming the diligence and dedication with which the new student council would function. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Hadiya Hashim, Head Girl. Vice-Principals, teachers, and students attended the programme.
