MES LAUNCHES ‘MY WELL-BEING IS A TRUST’ TO EMPOWER STUDENT AMBASSADORS UNDER NATIONAL IDENTITY PROGRAMME

MES Indian School marked a significant milestone in its character-building journey with the Ambassador Launch Ceremony of the initiative “My Well-being is a Trust”, held on 20th October 2025 at the school’s Conference Hall. Conducted under the broader national programme, “My Values Define My Identity”, the ceremony aimed at instilling and promoting values of empathy, leadership, and responsibility among students.

The event was conducted with enthusiasm and solemnity, reflecting the school’s unwavering commitment to student well-being and moral development. Mr Usman Mayyeri, Head of the Department of Arabic, extended a welcome address on the occasion. Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal, in her inaugural address congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors and commended the dedication of teachers in nurturing values among students.

The ceremony was graced by Mr Shaheed Alungath, Director – Moral Education & Islamic Affairs, M.E.S Indian School, who served as the Chief Guest. Along with the Principal, he conferred badges to 328 student ambassadors, symbolising their responsibility as custodians of well-being within the school community. Special badges were also awarded to the teachers-in-charge, recognising their mentoring role and unwavering support in guiding the student ambassadors.

A video presentation showcasing highlights from the previous year’s activities under the initiative offered insights into the programme’s impact and growth. One of the most moving moments was a student-led skit on the theme of bullying, presented by the Junior Section, which captivated the audience and underscored the importance of compassion and mutual respect.

In a motivating address, Mr Davidson, a teacher from the Boys’ Section, elaborated on the roles, expectations, and ethical responsibilities entrusted to the newly appointed ambassadors. The ceremony culminated in a pledge, led by Master Abhishek Vijay, where all ambassadors vowed to uphold the principles of respect, responsibility, and compassion in their daily conduct. Nimisha Liz Abraham, the Head Prefect, delivered an eloquent vote of thanks. Among those who were present at the event included Directors and members of the MES Governing Board, school key functionaries, teachers and students.
