MES SCIENCE EXPO-INNOVEX 2025 SPARKS CURIOSITY AND INGENUITY

M.E.S Indian School inaugurated the flamboyant INNOVEX–2025, a vibrant Science, Mathematics, and Art Exhibition, at the Girls’ Section, alongside a Science Expo, at the Junior Section aligning with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and Qatar National Vision (QNV 2030).

The initiative aimed at fostering inquiry-based learning, creativity, and innovation among students across academic levels had Dr.Salmiah Ahmad,Professor, Electrical Engineering Department – for Automation and Control Systems,University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) as the Chief Guest and Dr Luay Hussein, Engineering professor, Mechanical Engineering, University of Doha Science and Technology as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Mohammad Ali K. P, Founder Member of M.E.S Doha, I.E.S Chittillapally along with members of the School Governing Board graced the event with their presence.

Upon inaugurating the event, the Chief Guest, Dr. Salmiah Ahmad, inspired the young minds to remain bold in their thinking and proactive in their pursuit of scientific discovery so as to thrive in the ever-evolving world of science and technology; students must nurture curiosity, embrace change, and think beyond the ordinary,” she advised.

Appreciating the efforts and level of curiosity among students, the school Principal, Dr Hameeda Kadar said, ‘INNOVEX–2025 is a celebration of students’ inquisitiveness, courage to question, and passion to create. Each model and idea reflects the future that you are building today. Let this be the beginning of a lifelong journey of innovation, inquiry, and meaningful contribution to society.

Students with great enthusiasm came up with innovative and astonishing projects for INNOVEX – 2025. An impressive array of over 2000 exhibits across four categories, featuring working models, and artistic expressionsin Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, STEM, Robotics, Skill Subjects, Informatics Practices, Social Science, Qatar History, Home Science, Commerce, Languages, Art and Craft, and sports and

games were exhibited by the students of Classes V-XII. Food stalls and cafeteria corners were set up by the students in the school quadrangle highlighting MES’s emphasis on values-based education and community service. A video presentation showcasing the visages as well as brilliant ideas of the previous year’s Golden Expo 2024 was presented much to the delight of attendees.

In the Junior Section, a total of 64 classrooms were transformed into innovation hubs, where students displayed their projects across English, EVS, Mathematics, Languages, Qatar History, Arts and Sports. Each exhibit reflected the learners’ originality, problem-solving skills, and conceptual understanding based on the curriculum for the academic year 2025–2026. The specially curated ‘Qatar Corner’ offered exhibits highlighting the nation’s culture, progress, and sustainability initiatives, adding a distinctive local essence to the event.

In all, INNOVEX–2025 witnessed students’ participation from across grades, with overwhelming support from parents and staff providing a dynamic platform for students to apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on exploration and critical thinking.Earlier, Hadiya Hashim, Head Girl welcomed the gathering on the occasion. Mrs Lia Rolland and Mrs Ayesha Nidhal from the Department of Chemistry coordinated the event.
