The Mother’s Day celebration at MES Indian School was observed on 11th May 2025 at the Conference Hall with great warmth and reverence. The event was organized to honor the unconditional love and sacrifices of mothers and to express sincere appreciation for their vital role in the lives of their children.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Milan Arun, a well-known community leader. She spoke about the strength, love, and endless sacrifices of mothers everywhere, whose unwavering support shapes our lives in countless ways. A video presentation was screened, showcasing the highlights the celebration held in the Junior and Kindergarten Sections. This was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing joy, togetherness, and celebration.
Dr. Hameeda Kadar, the Principal, addressed the gathering emphasizing the irreplaceable value of mothers and their influence in shaping future generations. Mrs. Kamala Rajendran, mother of Ms. Mythili Menon, representatives of the community expressed gratitude and shared her reflections on behalf of all mothers.
The school choir presented a soulful and touching musical tribute, coordinated by Mr. Anver V.P and Mrs. Kavitha G. In a moving tribute titled “In Memory of My Mother,” students Sara Zain, Hadiya, Mohammed Ayman, and Mohammed Kamal shared their personal sentiments and cherished memories, creating a deeply emotional atmosphere Class 12 presented gifts to their mothers which evoked tears of joy and heartfelt emotions. A thematic dance performance coordinated by Ms.Sivagouri entertained and delighted the audience. Mr Anver K and Mrs Sumitha Nassar teachers in-charge coordinated the event.
Earlier in the day mother’s day celebrations were witnessed at various Sections of the school. The event also featured creative competitions like “Sculpt Fest,” where participants crafted artworks using fruits and vegetables, group dance performance titled ‘Dancing Hearts,’ and ‘Hearts in Harmony’ presented by mothers alongside their young ones and a thought-provoking awareness presentation titled “Chaos to Calm.” As a token of affection, the children crafted greeting cards adorned with their handprints, expressing their love and appreciation for their mothers.
The introduction of the program by Hadiya Hashim, the Head Girl, Ms. Nimisha Liz welcomed the audience highlighting the significance of the occasion while Abishek of Class 12 proposed a vote of thanks. In essence, the Mother’s Day celebration was a beautiful confluence of reverence, celebration, and joy — a fitting tribute to the unwavering strength, grace, and love embodied by every mother.
