M.E.S. Indian School celebrates a phenomenal double triumph at the CBSE National Badminton Championship 2026, held in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, from 28 September to 6 October 2026.
Anushree Shine of Class XI achieved a stellar performance in the U-17 Girls’ Individual Event, clinching the coveted Gold Medal and emerging as the National Champion. Her exceptional skill, determination and fighting spirit earned the highest honour for M.E.S Indian School, placing its sporting excellence firmly on the national stage. This outstanding achievement has earned Anushree a prestigious qualification for the SGFI (School Games Federation of India) Nationals.
Adding to the glory, the U-17 Girls’ Team, comprising Anushree Shine and Syed Rabiyama Zafar, both Class XI students, secured a Bronze Medal in the Team Event, further underscoring the depth of talent and competitive spirit nurtured at M.E.S. The athletes were guided and coached by Ms Gigi P. Abraham, whose dedicated training, mentorship and unwavering support contributed significantly to this outstanding national achievement.
